Fill the Float Challenge!

posted Oct 28, 2014, 6:56 AM by Jared Wall

The West Baton Rouge Convention & Visitors Bureau has a "Fill the Float" contest in honor of the 10th Annual Veterans on Parade to be held on November 9th, 2014, in Port Allen. This parade is held to honor all those men and women who have served in the past and are presently serving their country.  The West Baton Rouge Convention & Visitors Bureau wants to honor those individuals in a special way in 2014.

What does that mean for us?

Devall Middle school will support the Fill the Float contest by donating different materials for the current military troops overseas. The materials needed are listed on the back of this flyer. All donated materials will be collected for the Fill the Float campaign on November 9th.

Each 5th – 8th grade 1st hour class will collect the donated goods for the week of October 27th – October 31st (Red Ribbon Week) for the Fill the Float contest. At the end of the week, the 1st hour class with the most donated goods for the troops will win an ice cream party put together by the 4-H club. We hope you will help support the troops, past and present!
