National Red Ribbon Week Activities

Theme - "My Future is Bright, No Drugs in Sight!"

Monday, Oct. 28 - Wear Red Day and Red Ribbon Day: Students, teachers, and staff are asked to wear red shirts and red ribbons.  Morning announcement will discuss the planned weekly activities.

Tuesday, Oct. 29 - Sock It To Drugs: Students will be allowed to wear bright socks with uniforms.

Wednesday, Oct. 30 - Color Out Drugs: Students will be allowed to wear different colored shirts by grade levels. (5th Green) (6th Yellow) (7th Purple) (8th Blue)

Thursday, Oct. 31 - Career Day: Students can dress in a costume to resemble a successful career.

Friday, Oct. 31 - No Drugs in Sight: Sunglasses may be worn by students.

"Safe and Drug Free Lessons" will be taught during PE classes.

A poster contest will be announced for student participation.  Prizes will be awarded in each grade level.  Posters will be hung around the school with the theme "My Future is Bright, No Drugs in Sight!"

During English Classes, each student will write a poem or essay using the theme as a title (5th grade poems/6th-8th Essays). Winners from each grade level will be announced and prizes will be awarded.  Each morning the winners will rea their entries during announcements.
